OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP IN BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU (BJJ) OPEN NIS 2015

In the sports hall of primary school "Miroslav Antic" in Nis, this weekend will be the Open Championship Nis in Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) "Niš Open 2015" organized. The organizer of the championship, in the martial arts of Japanese jiu-jujitsu and judo is BJJ Club - Rio Grappling Club Nis.

The competition is held under the auspices of Palilula Municipality. The opening ceremony is on Saturday, 02/28/2015. at 12:00 pm and admission is free.

Brazilian jiu-jitsu (Jiu-Jitsu) is a modern martial art, which acquires tremendous popularity and expansion, with the exact rules, which allows anyone safely dealing with this martial art - says the organizer of the championship and the martial arts coach Aleksandar Stojičić. Free fight (vale tudo, Ultimate fight,Free fight) is becoming one of the most popular martial grouped competitions and important part of the preparation of every professional fighter. It is expected that in the next few years, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, in both their discipline "gi and no gi", will be nominated for an Olympic sport.

First BJJ World Championship was held in 1996. In Serbia, the skills were brought by John Gerial, one of the pioneers of the sport in Europe. Today there are a number of clubs across the country, including in Nis, and our fighters are very successful here and abroad. BJJ is recognized as a sport by world wrestling federation FILA, under which auspices are organized big sport competitions.
